Danny Angelo
Varsity Head Coach
Coach Angelo joined the Francis Howell Hockey staff in 2023-24 as an assistant and was tapped to lead the program for 2024-25.
He began playing hockey as a youngster in the St. Louis area and skated for Hazelwood Central during high school. After graduation, Angelo continued his playing career at University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL).
Angelo has coached at various levels of youth hockey along with the Central States St. Louis Sting program for eight years. He has also instructed at a variety of off-season camps and clinics, and holds a Level 4 Certification with USA Hockey.
MATTHEW HEERING
Junior Varsity Head Coach / Assistant Varsity Coach
Coach Heering joined the Francis Howell Hockey Club two years ago as an assistant coach, served at the B Team Head Coach in 2023-24 and was named the Junior Varsity Head Coach in the spring of 2024.
GARY DONALDSON
B Team Head Coach / Assistant Coach
Coach Donaldson is newly joining the Francis Howell coaching staff in 2024.
A long-time coach with the St. Peters Spirit hockey club, Donaldson will oversee the developmental B Team as well as assisting with the junior varsity and varsity teams.
ERIC BRUER
Assistant Coach
Coach Bruer is beginning his first season on the Francis Howell coaching staff in 2024.
Born in St. Louis, Coach Bruer played youth hockey for the Valley Hockey Club and later at Hazelwood Central High School. Following high school, he attended the University of Missouri - St. Louis where he played four years of ACHA hockey.
